Description
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Ensures that all quality procedures are implemented/followed and all quality checks are completed.
Assists QA Manager in implementing, monitoring, and auditing QA procedures, programs and policies.
Properly handles, files, and stores all necessary QA and production records.
Performs HACCP, SSOP, and GMP audits of facility processes; assists in ensuring compliance.
Coordinates the duties and training of QA staff with emphasis on continuous improvement of products and processes.
Assists in ensuring that the overall quality of the product produced during shift meets company and customer standards.
Supervises QA Technicians: planning working schedules, assigning tasks, training team members, demonstrating proper QA procedures as established by the company.
Assists in the performance of special tests as required.
Assists in the preparation and actively participates in customer and 3rd party quality or food safety audits.
Supervises the systems that drive quality in the processing plant.
Establishes and integrates product standards on the production floor.
Supervises and is able to perform all data collection, process measurements, process analysis, reporting; makes recommendations for improvement.
Monitors customer complaint evaluations and introduces problem-solving solutions.
Conducts plant employee training on quality principles.
Other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 18 years of age.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent preferred
Minimum 2 years food manufacturing experience required.
Basic computer and database application skills.
Familiarity with manufacturing/processing systems.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Ability to work within timelines and in pressure situations.
Ability to test products using applicable equipment/tools.
Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.
Sound judgement and decision-making skills.
Ability to objectively coach employees.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
May be exposed to noise up to 110 db.
May be exposed to chemicals used in the processing facility.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the position as directed by Case Farms.
Able to stand or freely move for the duration of shift.
When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures below 28 degrees and up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
